National Human Rights Commission, Gandaki Provincial Office, Pokhara

National Human Rights Commission, Gandaki Provincial Office, Pokhara was established on 21st Baisakh 2062. Initially established as a regional office, this office of the commission has been active in the protection and promotion of human rights in 16 districts of the western region. After the establishment of the sub-regional office in Butwal of Rupandehi to look after the districts of Lumbini zone, this office of the commission has been working in the protection and promotion of human rights in 10 districts of Gandaki and Dhaulagiri zone. After the country went to the federal structure, the Gandaki province office as Kaski, Syangja, Tanahun, Lamjung, Gorkha, Nawalparasi (East of Bardaghat Susta), Manang, Parbat, Baglung, Myagdi and Mustang, currently in 11 districts under the constitutional and legal mandate of Gandaki province. In order to protect and promote human rights violations, complaints, research, monitoring and promotional activities are being focused on.
